I don't know why, but I've been feeling especially crafty this weekend. Maybe it's because I've been so slack and uncreative the past couple of weeks. I wanted to make some more earrings today, but I need to visit the crafts store first so I decided today was a good wreath day.
I went to the dollar store yeterday in hopes of getting some foam and whicker wreaths. They had none. I've had this oval picture frame I got at Goodwill (it came with a terribly ugly picture in it) for way too long and I figured it would make a pretty little wreath.
Thank goodness I stocked up on yearn yesterday. Wrapping yarn wreaths always tries my patience.
All finished. I made a felt rose as well as a layered flower out of some scrapbook paper I got on clearance.
I like how it turned out. It's springy and very girly. I like very girly. Perhaps I'll try to sell it...or just add it to my collection :o)
Very cute!! I went to the dollar store today as well, I wanted to buy stuff to make a cute easter wreath. (Confession: my valentine's wreath is still on our door... :0/ ) Anywho, like wise, they didn't have what I was looking for. I walked out with a wind chime and easter candy. lol.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea! I love the way the frame look as a wreath!
ReplyDeleteThank you ladies!
ReplyDeletedana, dollar tree's been a bit disappointing lately. I guess you'll have to just keep your valentine's wreath up :o)
Very cute! I also went to the dollar store today for some wreath forms and they had none!! I hope they haven't discontinued them! I grabbed a basket instead and really love how it turned out on my door!
