Hillsville Flea Market

Happy Labor Day weekend friends! I hope you're all enjoying it. I certainly am. Yesterday we spent the day relaxing, and avoiding cleaning that needed to be done. It was very nice. Today we got up and headed to Hillsville, VA with my mom and dad for their annual Labor Day weekend flea market. It's an event that lasts from Friday to Sunday and takes up pretty much the whole darn town. It was the first time we'd gone in years so I've been pretty excited about it all week.

From Fiesta Ware to bikes and Mason jars, there was some fabulous stuff.

I was in love with every single one of these vintage handkerchiefs, but the lady wasn't willing to bargain at all so I had to walk away. (I found some cheaper from another seller a little later).

There were some things I did not desire, but could still appreciate their appeal.

The whole thing was a fascinating mass of humanity.

As usual, with a mass of humanity comes a ridiculous amount of these. Yuck.

It was a very hot day but such an enjoyable time with my family.

I can't wait to share with y'all all the treasures I left with.

  5. The flea market looks amazing! I haven't been to a flea market in AGES! I need to start keeping an eye out for ones that go on in our neck of the woods.
