Ribbon Window Treatment

It's a really yucky day here. Just very cloudy and rainy. This afternoon there's supposed to be severe thunderstorms. Bad weather is always good weather for crafty. I made some more hair clips this morning and my index fingers and thumbs are uncomfortably covered with super glue thanks to another project. I desperately want to share that project with you all, but my mom's birthday is April 22nd and it's a gift for her. I can't have her seeing it on here after all. She likes to be surprised :o)
The windows in our bedroom are bare and depressing. I had some garland up around them, but it was very wintry so I finally took it down today. I hope for curtains eventually but until then I need something to make it look like we didn't just move in. I have a huge supply of lovely ribbon from Dollar Tree so I figure I could use those and some twine to make a quick window decoration.

I simply cut lots of ribbon and tied it on the twine. Lots and lots of ribbon. and then I hung it up with two nails.

Brandon didn't react that well. I thinks it looks like streamers hanging over the window and has a girly look. What does he know though :o)

  3. That's so cool, I have a ribbon addiction and probably have enough on hand to do this without having to go the store. I think my kitties would really love it!
