Weekend Halloween Trip

   I haven't blogged on SO long. Life just takes over sometimes. It's been an exciting past few months, moving into our new home, WORKING on our new home, my birthday, the changing season, getting a kitty and, most recently, visiting Busch Gardens for the weekend. We met my parents and brother up in Williamsburg and enjoyed a weekend of roller coasters, a bit of rain, people watching, shows, overpriced food, cable TV (at the hotel), and precious time together. We went last year...but this year? Even better.

   Sometimes you just need to get away and scream out all your stress on a couple of crazy rides. 

Halloween in Busch Gardens

   Happy Halloween friends! I miss being a kid and has excited butterflies in my tummy all day anticipating it getting dark so we could dress-up and go trick-or-treating. Even though I no longer look forward to gathering candy in the evening I still really enjoy Halloween. We did lots and lots of fun activities in kindergarten today including a pumpkin hunt, making candy corn men, and carving our own pumpkin.
   This past weekend Brandon and I had some fantastic Halloween fun of our own visiting Busch Gardens. I just had to share a few pics with y'all...

The first day was rainy and terribly cold and I forgot my camera. Sunday was beautiful though and perfect for roller coaster and pictures. 

It was so warm and cozy in the pub. We spent lots of time here.

We rode all of these. They were pretty great.

 Halloween "decorations" were everywhere.

We had the most wonderful time and it was so hard to leave.

   What a blessing getting to spend a weekend with my love at such a special place :o)

   I hope you all had a special weekend too and enjoy your Halloween. Personally, I'm spending this Halloween evening relaxing and listening to Christmas music. Yes, Christmas music.

Pumpkin Carving

   Today was a long, hard day so it was so nice to spend some time with my husband finally carve our pumpkins!

   I prefer jolly, round pumpkins while Brandon prefers pumpkins with long, picturesque stems.

Brandon's pumpkin lost his eye in a carving accident so Brandon taped it back on...

I do love Halloween :o)
