Embellished Summer Bag

Hello folks, I suppose I've been a bit of an absent blogger lately haven't I? There's really no reason except that I've been incredibly lazy this week. I've done a lot of lounging, sleeping, watching Hulu, and going to the gym. Just the way one should spend the first week of vacation. I'm getting my rear in gear now and I'm ready to start being productive. Starting...perhaps today?
Yesterday was a really nice Father's Day. I had breakfast at my parents and we gave my dad, who really deserves the World, his gifts. When my mom asked what he wanted to do for Father's Day his response was that he'd love to just sit on a porch and enjoy the day. So, we headed to my grandparents who have the best big southern, wrap-araound, sittin' porch ever and spent the day with our extended family just enjoying life. It was so nice.
Last night when I got home, I decided to finish a little project I've been toying with off and on for the past couple of days.
It started out as a plain little straw bag.

I added some felt and yo-yo flowers.

And now, I think it's pretty special.
