"The 25 Posts of Christmas" Gift No. 9

My mom is a very clever and crafty lady. Growing up she always made fantastic halloween costumes, expertly slaved over curtains for all the windows in our house, painted each room at least three times using a different technique each time, and made the most delightful birthday cakes my brother and I could imagine. Last year she made a big collection of beautiful floor cloths to sale at a craft fair. She didn't sell all of them which meant...I got to choose one!
These would make wonderful gifts and can be done to match the taste and decor' of anyone on your gift list's home.

Floor Cloth

You will need:
a canvas drop cloth
tacky glue
primer
paint and paint brush
 acrylic gloss

Step 1. Cut the drop cloth to the desired size and glue the edges under using tacky glue.

Step 2. Prime and let dry

Step 3. Paint the desired design and let dry

Step 4. Paint with acrylic gloss and let dry

The whole process is time consuming but such a lovely project. Ours is currently adding some Christmas cheer to our little kitchen.

I love so much that my mom made it and doesn't it match my new Christmas dish towels well?
