St. Patty's Day in Kindergarten

I love holidays, but my enthusiasm is lacking a bit when it comes to St. Patrick's Day. I figured for school today though I should put forth a little effort so I wore three green and white leis. So creative I know....We did do a fun little craft at the end of the day. It was simple but cute and a good shape activity as well as good fine motor skill practice.

Shamrock People

For the most part, they turned out pretty well.

A few did look a bit freakish.
They were all very pleased with their shamrock people no matter how odd looking...

I'm celebrating the rest of my St. Patty's Day watching The Office, going to Zumba, and working on lesson plans. Oh, and tomorrow's Friday :o)

Happy St. Patrick's Day friends!

  1. I love this! how cute :)

Are you an art school teacher?
I am going to school to be an elementary art school teacher and I live to be inspired by teachers who have the same passion for kids that I do.

  2. I'm so glad you like our funny looking shamrock people :o) I'm not an art teacher, just a regular classroom teacher. i can't resist incorporating art and creativity whenever possible though. I think being an art teacher would be really enjoyable!
