Our new chalkboard

I'm taking a little break from lesson planning to share a project from last weekend.

I'm constantly looking for ways to personalize our little apartment. Ways that can be easily removed.

And lately it seems that there are chalkboards all over blogland. Like here, here, oh and this is where I was most inspired .

After being inspired last week I headed to Michael's and bought some stick-on chalkboard rectangles. I had planned to use them on one of our walls, but our walls are textured and this proved impossible.

The back of our kitchen cabinets facing our office/craft area are smooth so I decided to use my chalkboard tiles here.

The Big Lots party lights are a nice finishing touch don't ya think?

  3. I've been wanting to put chalk board up in my house, well room since high school. I had a friend who had an entire wall of her room devoted to chalk paint and every time I went over, I would do some new kind of doodle and she loved it. I am totally going to look up this chalk sticker stuff <3 Thanks for sharing, yours rocks!!
